The Brazilian Internet Steering Committee (CGI.br), which is the entity in charge of coordinating the system of domain names that use “.br” as Country Code Top-Level Domain (ccTLD), approved, on 07.May.2010, the Resolution CGI.br/RES/2010/003/P, which establishes an administrative system for resolving domain name disputes, named “SACI-Adm”.

The first stages of this dispute resolution system started during the years 2008 and 2009 covering only “.net.br” domain names. On 30.Sep.2010, the Brazilian Network Information Center (NIC.br), the executive branch of the CGI.br, published the SACI-Adm regulation on the http://registro.br website, officially initiating the system for all “.br” domain names.

The Brazil-Canada Chamber of Commerce is the first registered entity for resolving disputes under the SACI-Adm regulation.
