In the year that Madrid Protocol turns 30 years, the Madrid System managed by WIPO (World Intellectual Property Organization) has reached 1.5 million international registrations, an important milestone for the System, which promotes a convenient and efficient trademark registration and maintenance solution in 122 countries.

According to the WIPO Director General, the 1.5 million registration is a milestone and attests to the importance of the system for the growth of trademarks in international trade.
