>[04.oct.06] Trademarks - Trilateral List of Identification of Goods and Services

For the purpose of decreasing the burden of an applicant obtaining trademark rights abroad, the Japan Patent Office (JPO), the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), and the Office for Harmonization in the Internal Market (Trade Marks and Designs) (OHIM) have been reviewing English identifications of goods and services to determine those identifications acceptable to all three offices. At present, a list has been made of the approximately 10,000 English identifications acceptable to all three offices. The offices plan to expand this list continuously.
