- SIPO deploys nationwide campaigns on IP enforcement

In an effort to follow
the instructions of the recent executive meeting of
the State Council presided by the Chinese Premier and
implementation of the Plan for Special Campaign on Combating
IPR (Industrial Property Rights) Infringement and Manufacture
and Sales of Counterfeiting and Shoddy Commodities,
SIPO issued a circular on IPR enforcement campaigns
recently.
The circular lays out specific measures
in three phases of mobilization and deployment, implementation,
summary and awarding as follows: require the local IP
offices to target violations of high-tech products,
agricultural products, foods, medicine and industrial
design, take stern scrutiny over the production, distribution,
import and export of fake goods, join hands with judicial
and other departments to expose a group of illegal cases
to the public.
