>[26.Apr.08] General
- Companies that Receive Subvention Can Be Exempt from
Public Bids Source: Infomail ABREU, MERKL no. 19
The
Brazillian National Council of Research Aiding Foundations
(Confap) decided this past March to formalize the proposal
for a provisional measure which adds provision to the
Law of Public Bids and Contracts (8.666/93). Said proposal
was sent to the Ministry of Science and Technology on
December last year.
According to the proposal, item XXIX of article 24 of
the legislation will have a new wording. It will read
about the exemption from public bids for companies which
receive economic subvention for the acquisition of goods,
services and labour which will be employed in projects
selected via public calls for proposals that attend
the Innovation Law, as well as the corresponding state
legislation.
