- IPOS signs Memorandum of Understanding with Brazil

On 24.Sep.2008, the
Intellectual Property Office of Singapore (IPOS) signed
a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Brazilian
National Institute of Industrial Property (INPI). On
the following day, the IPOS also signed an MOU on bilateral
co-operation with the National Institute for Industrial
Property of France.
The MOUs with the
intellectual property offices of Brazil and France aim
to foment closer collaboration in IP (Intellectual Property),
especially in promoting greater exchanges, sharing experience
and facilitating more opportunities in joint initiatives.
The MOUs mark a new chapter in Singapore’s relations
with Brazil and France further strengthening Singapore’s
close ties with these two countries.
The President
of INPI/BR said that “The MOU will provide an
excellent platform for us to further strengthen bilateral
cooperation with Singapore and work together in areas
of common interests in the field of IP”.
