- INPI and USPTO Sign Agreement Memo

The Brazilian INPI’s
President and the United States Undersecretary for Commerce
and Intellectual Property and USPTO Director General
signed, on 24.Jul.2008, a memo of agreements between
the two agencies.
The document consolidates
the already ongoing cooperation between the agencies
and focus on the activities that promote information
exchange and professional capacitating. According to
INPI’s president, cooperation among industrial
property offices is fundamental at a moment in which
all worldwide IP offices are facing not only backlogs
but also pressure for quality, for assurance on legal
security and cost reduction for users of the system.
