- MDIC formalizes the Fee Schedule for the INPI

IBy an administrative
ruling published in the Brazilian Official Gazette on
10.Nov.2011, the minister of Development, Industry and
Foreign Market (MDIC) made the new fee schedule for
the services provided by the INPI/BR official. It will
enter in effect on Jan.2012, reflecting an average increase
of 18.5%. The current schedule has been valid since
Jun.2009.
On the next day
a complementation to the administrative ruling was published,
which included patent fees. The president of INPI shall
soon regulate the filing of electronic patent application,
preparing the launching of the e-Patents system.
